Thousands of screaming fans, singing along with the Fab Four, but unable to hear them because of the noise and the distance from the stage. Well, whether you were there in ’66 or not, now is your chance to see John, Paul, George and Ringo up close, and to hear your favorites from their music. This basket contains BeatleMania and The Beatles, with hundreds of photographs. For young fans, there is Hey, Grandude, written by Paul McCartney and illustrated by Kathryn Durst. They took some honey, and plenty of money

Wrapped up in a five-pound note.

Miriam Trigueros, our sewing volunteer, has replicated the costumes illustrated by Jan Brett. The complete poem is in her book, The Owl and the Pussycat. 16. Haymarket and Nova Burberry Checks

Many of us grew up with the Haymarket or House Burberry checks and their warm camel tones as linings in outerwear. In the 1960s, Burberry Paris buyer Jacqueline Dillesman had a Eureka! moment. She removed the check lining to wrap luggage and make umbrella covers. Her cashmere scarf, seen in our basket, brought both warmth and fashion to cold European winters. The outerwear, umbrellas and tote bags were considered both practical and attractive. Soon Burberry checks were everywhere! The tin door decoration made by Mary Lake Thompson, for example, wore the scarf. In the 1990s and 2000s, The Nova check with its lighter beige tones became its own fashion statement in the 90s as well.
