A Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up children in the way they should go; even when they are old, they will not depart from it.” Teaching the young is a foundational element of our mission. Our efforts in the Mexican Province carry the good work of education forward as well as achieving newer goals related to Care of Creation. The schools we serve are in:

• Delicias, Chihuahua

• San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato

• Maravatío, Michoacán  

• The state of Mexico

All schools went back into the classroom with precautions in place to take care of each student. While mindful of health safety, the schools also promote character and the values of:

• truth

• freedom

• solidarity

• respect

• commitment

Here is a brief update from the following schools:

• Last year, the Colegio La Paz A.C.  celebrated 80 years of service in education.

• Instituto Las Casas A.C. re- opened their classrooms from kindergarten to high school, continuing their commitment to serving low-income families.

• Colegio Robert F. Kennedy faithfully cared for parents, teachers, and collaborators in the most difficult moments of the pandemic.

• The Colegio Tomas de Aquino enrollment has increased. It is a good sign for the surrounding rural community.

The schools rallied together and created special learning opportunities through courses, updates, expert lectures, and celebrating the Rosary Feast via zoom.

Sisters in the Santa Rosa de Lima community extended their cultural and environmental learning by caring for Mother Earth. They now use sustainable practices to grow their own food from seed.
