Sister Gloria Marie Jones and Futuring Dominican Charism

Sister Gloria Traveling for New Initiative

Sister Gloria

S. Gloria Marie Jones began an East African Adventure on July 3rd, traveling as the project director of a collaborative planning grant.  The initiative bridges two continents, Africa and the US and involves an international leadership team focused on sustaining and strengthening the Dominican mission into the future.  S. Gloria will travel to Zimbabwe, Zambia and Kenya, meeting with Dominican sisters and congregations in East Africa.  She will return to the US on September 16th.

S. Gloria summarized the effort, “This 18 month planning grant provides a unique and much needed opportunity for all of us sisters with our lay partners to engage in an in depth analysis of our present reality-- what is in place and the challenges and opportunities we face in light of our call to live, share and pass on the Dominican charism (our unique spirit and life inspired by St. Dominic) to the next generation.”
