Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ

feast body blood

Today we celebrate the Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ and share this reflection from S. Katherine Jean:

The Church gives us yearly the feast of the body and blood of Christ (this year June 3), drawing our attention to the privilege we have each time we attend Mass of becoming intimately connected with Christ through this sacrament of his body and blood. We must also remember that this is a gift that we are meant to share with others. In saying “Amen” as we receive Eucharist, we are really saying, “Yes, I am the Body of Christ.” How do we allow this to happen within our own family, with our colleagues and with friends and acquaintances?
