Join us for "Think Globally, Act Locally: Leave No One Behind", a Dominican Study Day, on Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 10am-2pm in the Dominican Center.
Globally women and girls suffer disproportionately the crushing impact of poverty—a reality recognized by the United Nations. How can local communities and the Dominican family work to empower women locally and around the world?
Sister Margaret Mayce will lead discussions around this pressing issue. S. Margaret Mayce is a member of the Sisters of St. Dominic, Congregation of the Holy Cross, Amityville, New York. She is currently the Representative of the Non-Governmental Organization – Dominican Leadership Conference – at the United Nations.
